We had the pleasure of witnessing Lauren and Andrew say their “I Do’s” to each other at The Hatter & the Hare. On the beautiful day of the 24th of February, we very proudly hosted our first wedding ceremony and wedding reception of the year. Our Valentine’s Installation made the perfect backdrop to the wedding. Adding touches of white, green & gold to the venue, the place looked like a dream. For the wedding ceremony, our events team styled an aisle with green foliage and white flowers and balloons leading towards the café courtyard where the wedding arch stood. The ceremony was very short and sweet, with the couple joined by their two children as they exchanged vows. Their guests were sat at the tables to witness and share this significant moment with the couple The wedding reception commenced shortly after. The newly-wedded couple and their 90 guests enjoyed a generous grazing station and a bountiful buffet spread of the following canapés:

  • Pork Jowl Terrine
  • Beetroot & Broccoli Fritters
  • Beetroot-Cured Salmon
  • Pressed Lamb Shoulder
  • Curried Egg Sandwich
  • Fried Chicken Slider

The guests also worked their way through the Dessert table filled with the following treats:

  • Vanilla Cupcakes
  • White Macarons filled with Lemon Curd
  • Passionfruit Verrine Cup
  • White Glazed Donuts
  • Petit Four Raspberry Flan Tarts
  • Petit Four Chocolate Pudding
  • White Baby Meringues

The wedding cake made the perfect centrepiece. The 2-tiered beauty was made of a 10″ Chocolate Mud cake for the bottom layer and an 8″ Red Velvet cake for the top layer. All the guests also received a wedding favour of custom-made heartshaped cookies topped with white fondant and gold lettering. The whole affair was quite dreamy and relaxed – a mood set by the couple and their guests. The beautiful day – although a bit warm – complemented the occasion well. At the end of the party, everyone – including the staff – headed out the doors with satisfied and genuinely happy smiles on their faces.
