Café Operations

What are your trading hours?

We’re open on Weekdays (except Public Holidays) from 7am to 4pm. On Weekends (except Public Holidays), our opening hours are from 8am to 4pm. Note that the main kitchen closes every 3pm, unless otherwise specified. Cakes and drinks are available to order until close.

Is the café closed on certain days of the year?

Our venue is closed on Public Holidays.

Please check on our website or social media pages (FB and Instagram) to find out if we have shorter trading hours on any day. Alternatively, you can ring us at (03)97205230 or send an email to wonderland@hhcafe.com.au to confirm our trading hours on any day.

Do you take bookings?

Can I order take away?

Yes, you can! You can walk in and order your take away meal and/or drink at the front counter.

Do you deliver?

We offer next-day delivery within a 10km radius for our range of desserts. To make an order, head to our Cinch online shop.

What are the peak time hours at the café?

If you are walking in, know that we try our best to seat everyone as they arrive, especially on Weekends . If you’d like to avoid the crowds, plan your visit so you arrive before 9:30am or after 1:30pm, otherwise, prepare to wait from anywhere between 5 minutes up to half an hour. Most days we can easily sit customers and you don’t need to wait any more than 15 minutes. However on our busiest periods like during school holidays, there may be a considerable wait. Also be aware that we impose a seating time limit of 1.5 hours on our very busy periods which the host will advise you of when you arrive.

Do you have Tea service?

Nibble O’clock is currently ON HOLD for an indeterminate period of time.

Keep an eye out when we announce the resumption of our Nibble O’clock service.

Do you have large cakes?

Yes! Check out our latest range of large layered cakes online.

If you’re wanting a customised cake just for your event, complete the online request form. Expect an email reply for our cake makers between 2-3 days after you’ve submitted the form.

What types of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard, Visa & AMEX.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we do! You can purchase physical gift vouchers at the front counter or online starting from $30 value. Take note that you need to pick up these vouchers in store and these can only be used for purchases you make at the café. We have discontinued the sale of electronic vouchers.

Do you cater to special dietary requirements?

We do our best to cater to individual dietary requirements and food sensitivities. Our menu has items that are gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. However, we do not use separate areas, equipments or tools to handle food in our kitchens so cross-contamination of ingredients is likely to happen. Menu items containing nuts are also properly labeled. We make an effort to list down most of the components of our food, drinks and desserts in our menus so you are properly informed of what comes with the food or drink you’re about to consume. Feel free to have a chat with our staff and they will be more than happy to answer your queries and coordinate with the kitchen so you can have a meal that is safe for you to eat. If you have a reaction to food you’ve eaten at the café, let us know immediately so we can get the necessary medical assistance you need.

Can I book your venue for my event?

Unfortunately, we’re not accepting any event bookings at the moment.

Accessibility

Can I bring a pram?

Yes, you can! There’s plenty of space inside the café to accommodate prams.

Can I bring my dog?

Our courtyard is open for pet owners wanting to dine in with their fur babies. Feel free to bring your well-behaved pooches with direct access to the courtyard making it easier for you and your doggie to enjoy a day out at the café!

Where can we park?

We have expanded our parking spaces on site which are available to customers on a first-come, first-served basis. Plan ahead and check other available parking spaces around the area so you are able to find parking without a lot of fuss when you come visit us. Always be mindful and take the appropriate pedestrian crossings so you cross the road safely especially when you have children, elderly or PWD with you. You can also opt to drop them off at the café first before parking elsewhere. Additionally, please do not use parking spaces allocated for neighbouring businesses to avoid any dramas.

Is the café wheelchair accessible?

Yes it is! The entrance to the café is clear for wheelchairs to easily go through. Once inside, there’s ample space to move around so you are able to reach your table with relative ease. A wheelchair accessible toilet is also available. If you need any help or assistance at all, don’t hesitate to ask one of our staff.

Is there public transport nearby?

Yes! In fact, we’re just a short 400-m walk from the Bayswater Train Station.
