Orange & Ginger Cookie Demo

In this demo, George, THATH Head Pastry Chef, walks us through how to make our Orange & Ginger Cookies.

  • 125 g butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup self raising flour
  • 1/2 cup orange puree or 2 Tbsp orange flavouring
  • Orange rind
  • 2 Tbsp Candied ginger chopped
  1. Preheat the oven at 150C.
  2. Cream butter and sugar with orange rind.
  3. Add vanilla and eggs.
  4. Add flour.
  5. Fold in orange puree and candied ginger.
  6. Make 40g balls on a baking tray and flatten top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

    Love how you have your recipes for us to use and love to make your Orange and Ginger Cookies, but there is no Quantity in your Ingredients List. I actually haven’t tried that cookie….it sounds delicious. Regards Marcelle😊x

    Your orange and ginger cookie recipe looks delicious. One of the ingredients is Orange Purée, how would I make that please.

      Hi Helen, so sorry for the very late reply. You boil oranges including the peel, then pureé using a food processor or blender. Hope this helps! Good luck
