We hosted another first birthday celebration on the 27th of October, and this time, we decked out our venue in Yellow, Black and Polkadots. The air was abuzz as guests started to arrive as we put the finishing touches to our Buzz Bee and Hive-themed birthday party.
Mad Marco provided the entertainment for the kids who were wowed by his magic tricks and kept them busy as they wait for the food to be served.
We went all-out again with an impressive buffet spread all arranged on a table dressed in black and yellow cloth with florals and greens.
The guests helped themselves to the following:
- Soba Noodles
- Savoury Pancakes
- Chicken Waffles
- Pepperberry Meatball Sub
- Chicken Sandwich
- Grazing station
The Dessert Table was decked out in a specially-made Balloon Garland by Sofi Events and wood backdrop provided by Wynn Joinery.

- Polkadot donut
- Polkadot yellow macaron with chocolate ganache
- Lemon Meringue Tart
- Lemon Tart
- Mini Vanilla Slices
- Yellow Baby Meringues
And for drinks, there was an abundance of:
- Champagne
- Fruit Sodas and Juice
- Softdrinks
- Coffees and Tea
The highlight was a custom-made beehive-shaped birthday cake which also served as the centrepiece of the Dessert Table. The weather also cooperated as the guests enjoyed the food, treats and each other’s company on a sun-filled afternoon, joined by the jolly birthday celebrant who, we could only imagine, brings a lot of joy to his family.
